Who is This Course Intended For?

Romans chapters 9-11 are often seen as the “challenging” chapters of Romans, difficult to understand

and more suited for scholars and theologians than for the rest of us. But Paul wrote all of
Romans with the intent that it be understood. This course is for anyone who desires to
“connect the dots” between chapters 1-8 and 9-11 as well as 12-16, and to understand how
these chapters are key to Paul’s concept of salvation itself.

What can you expect to learn?

  • Paul’s definitive answer to “replacement theology”.
  • How Israel is key for all believers understanding God’s mercy.
  • A fuller picture of the meaning of “salvation” beyond relating to individuals alone.
  • What “predestination” means and what it does not mean.
  • How Israel’s covenant calling continues in spite of her present rejection of Yeshua.
  • How understanding chapters 9-11 gives us greater faith for personal application of 1-8.
  • How the relationship of Israel and the Nations fits into God’s purposes.
  • Why Paul burst into praise (v. 11:33) in his own response to explaining these chapters.
